Zig’s Philosophy

Zig Ziglar was a great man.

If you’re an avid listener or reader of personal development stuff, then there’s a good chance you’ve heard of him before.

He had a marvelous philosophy of business and of life, one that still holds sway and influence over those who hear his words. Zig passed away in November 2012, but his impact still lives on.

Zig’s Philosophy

As I was going about my business yesterday, someone brought up Zig in the course of our conversation. Having not listened to him for a while, I had forgotten just how awesome this man’s advice was.

One sentence, one quote in particular, immediately came to mind:

“If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar

There’s something about that quote that holds the key to true success.

A lot of times in network marketing, almost without realizing it, we get so caught up in going for our dream that we forget our deeper purpose.

Just look at all the groups on Facebook where networkers come together. Every one I’ve ever seen is nothing but pitch after pitch.

We put ourselves and our own opportunity ahead of helping others.

How would your business be different if you took the time to listen? Regardless of how awesome or spectacular your opportunity may be, what if you actually saw your leads as more than just prospects?

Now you may be thinking to yourself, “My opportunity WILL help them get what they want!”

That may be true. But what’s your true motive for getting them to join?

It should be more than just dollars and cents. It should be the wonderful feeling and fantastic joy of aiding another person. It should be the challenge and satisfaction of helping someone see that they CAN do MORE!

More than business owners, we are LEADERS.

Even if you’re brand new, YOU are a LEADER.

Whether you’re in fitness, health and wellness, travel or something else, your main business is changing lives!

Even for those people who don’t decide to join you, you can make a difference.

Simply by taking the time to listen, you’ll stand out from the rest. Who knows? There may come a day when they WILL want to join a business.

And guess what?

You’ll be the person they go to.

Why?

Because you treated them like a person. You cared about what they had to say.

Though money is important and certainly the main goal of owning your own business, there’s more to it than just that.

Beyond the product, opportunity, sales and success, there’s an invisible yet powerful component. It’s what separates those who are wealthy from those who are rich.

Anyone can make a lot of money, but the true value comes from what you become.

So remember Zig’s philosophy:

“If you can dream it, then you can achieve it. You will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar

Dream it, because you can achieve it. Then set about helping others get what they want. Listen to them, care about them and point them to a solution.

It may be your opportunity, it may be something else. Regardless of what it is, sincerely help them out.

Why?

Because you will get all you want in life if you help enough other people get what they want.

Powerful words from a wonderful man.

This has been your motivational Monday.

Yours in Financial Freedom,

Alex Levandoski

  1. You are absolutely correct! Helping people get what they want is very rewarding, in many ways. It’s good for your insides! I love Zig and have every since I seen him speak in person the very first time. This phrase of his has always remained with me since that day. If you help enough people get what they want, you will get everything you want.
My first experience in sales was in Mary Kay. I didn’t help people get what they wanted and even though I earned a car, It was never successful. My next job was rewarding and that was when I seen Zig. I was a car salesman. Hard to imagine that as rewarding, but it was for me. I did help people. I left that after 8.5 years because i re married.
I’ve recently found something that is helping people and will be the most important thing I’ve ever done! Living life unlimited and heeling others do the same!
I’m glad to connect with you!
