Thursday Training: Choosing a Strategy

As a network marketer who’s operating online, you’re faced with a myriad of options to choose from when marketing.

Should I do video?

Should I create a blog?

Should I use Facebook, Twitter or some type of social media?

Should I mix and match all of these strategies?

Thursday Training: Choosing a Strategy

Thursday Training: Choosing a Strategy

Starting out can be very confusing if you don’t have some kind of guidance and support. It’s hard to decide which of these to pick and even harder to know how to use them properly.

Have no fear! Hopefully this article will help clear up some confusion!

When I first started out online, I made a very big mistake. I put my hand in way too many cookie jars! Rather than focus on mastering one specific strategy, I tried to do too much. I tried to get myself involved with each and every one.

DO NOT make this mistake!!!

My end result of diversifying my efforts was absolutely abysmal. I saw zero sales and zero sign-ups for all of my hard work.

It was this tough lesson that taught me two key words. These words will become your best friends for the duration of your time online, so get to know them intimately…

FOCUS and CONSISTENCY.

You want to FOCUS on ONE specific strategy. Whatever it is that you personally enjoy or have the most experience with, choose that one exclusively.

Whether it’s video, blogging, social media or something else, commit to doing it and doing it with CONSISTENCY.

To help you a little more with choosing the right strategy, let’s look at these three choices and examine their pros and cons.

1. Video Marketing

Video marketing has many positives associated with it. It’s free or very low cost to start up, people love it, and your charisma and presentation skills will improve dramatically each time you turn on the camera. Nothing will force you to grow and expand quite like video will. It pushes you outside your comfort zone.

There aren’t that many negatives associated with video. You will have to know how to properly rank and promote them in order to get views, but there are ways to go about doing that. All in all, video is a very effective strategy that lots of people love!

2. Blogging (SEO)

A killer blog can make you a killer income. There are lots of people who master SEO and build for themselves an endless stream of free and targeted leads. A good website instantly brands you as an authority, and it can become a buzzing hub of activity and discussion. It’s also very cheap to start out, and it doesn’t take long to set-up.

The negatives with blogging are that it can take a long time to get you traffic. SEO works, but it doesn’t typically work in just a few days. It can take months before your post shows up highly in search engines. This is the main downside of using this strategy. Also, if you do decide to blog, you want to use a paid blog. WordPress is what I would personally recommend.

3. Social Media

Social media, particularly Facebook, is my favorite strategy to use. With so many people online today, there’s no better place to personally shine than on a site like Facebook or Twitter. This is where you can really make use of your brand. Whether through free strategies or paid ads, social media has the potential to get you results. I absolutely love it.

The downside to social media is that you don’t own your page. With a blog, for example, you are the owner (with a paid blog). This means that Facebook or whatever site you’re using has the right to shut you down if they don’t like what you’re doing. That can be a very frustrating and deadly experience! If you choose to use social media, then you definitely want a firm grasp of what the rules are. You DON’T want to be shut down!

Now there are other strategies in addition to these three, but these are the most well-known. If you’re interested in learning more about additional strategies, just send me an email or message me on Facebook.

For most people, however, these are the best fit.  Hundreds of marketers have effectively used them, and with the right training, YOU can too!

Your homework for today is to pick your strategy! Pick the strategy that you want to focus on, then share what it is on our community page! You’ll want to focus SOLELY on this ONE strategy until you are generating AT LEAST 5-10 leads a day with it!

Which one will you choose?

Yours in Financial Freedom,

Alex Levandoski
