The World’s Biggest Scam

There’s a scam that’s going around that’s ruining a lot of people. In fact, it’s destroying lives in overwhelmingly large numbers.

I always find it remarkable when people view network marketing as a “scam.”

I was once a part of that crowd.

I think the reason for it is partly due to the unnatural approach that a lot of distributors lead with. If it feels strange and awkward, then red flags go up.

Some people also use the old “pyramid scheme” excuse as a means to justify their decision not to join.

If network marketing were in fact a pyramid scheme, then don’t you think the authorities would have shut it down by now?

No, the fact of the matter is that there’s a much bigger scam out there.

It’s a scam that’s been around for a very long time, yet most people don’t even realize it.

The world’s biggest scam is working a job for a living.

Now, before you get all self-righteous and go into a tirade about how it’s much more honorable to work hard at a career, at least hear me out.

What does life look like for the average person today?

I’ll give you a quick overview from birth to death…

  • A person is born.
  • Said person goes to school for 12 years in an effort to prepare themselves for more schooling.
  • Person goes to college, anywhere from 2 to 6 years, accruing thousands of dollars of debt in the process.
  • Person graduates with honors, being given a fancy piece of paper for all their hours of effort.
  • Piece of paper gives said person the privilege of applying for a job, which allows them to hopefully spend the rest of their lives employed somewhere.
  • What follows is basically a variation of job changes and layoffs, taking place over a period of 30-60 years.
  • Said person earns the right to retire, doing so as a much older and physically unhealthy person.
  • Person struggles financially due to inadequate preparation while still employed, spends twilight years paying bills instead of vacationing like they wanted.
  • Person dies.

Now, honestly, does this look like a fun way to spend your life?

It didn’t look very fun to me, and that’s why I decided to build my own future instead of buying into this “scam.”

Even if network marketing were a scam, which it isn’t, I’d rather lose a few hundred dollars trying something different than buy into the aforementioned con game.

Modern day workers are nothing but paid slaves.

Unless you’re truly financially independent, then you don’t control your life.

Someone else or something else owns your time. They dictate what you have to do and when you have to do it.

That just wasn’t good enough for me.

But is it good enough for you?

Are you willing to settle for a typical career, or do you want something more out of life?
